What Did You Miss This Week? (Week 346 #390)

Who's That???

Highway RickEy jumped in with a fascinating listening exercise this week. He brought in 15 versions of Walkin' Thru the Park and played both the intro and the harp solo section from each. Listeners were challenged to rate how they felt about each version and to try to figure out who the harp player was. Most were Muddy versions and a lot of them live, and the harp players ranged from Little Walter to James Cotton to Jerry Portnoy and George Smith. We learned it is not easy to peg the harp player, even if you're Joe Filisko, but the important thing is the listening!
